Exploring New Parks

We've been really into checking out new parks lately.  We love Centerville-Washington Township's Park District. They have 50 parks in their area!!!  Five River Metropark's 18 park spaces are amazing as well.  Here we are during a warm hike at Sugarcreek Metropark.  Grandma came along for this one!

There is a natural play area at Sugarcreek also.
It's so hard being a tired two year old!

We went to Grant Park with some friends and enjoyed the creek and Nature Playce.

Biking and playing at Oak Grove Park.  This was the day Owen decided to ride without training wheels.  He had learned earlier that day at a garage sale. He hopped on a smaller bike(that we were buying for Ian) to take it to the seller so we could pay, started pedaling and yelled, "I'm doing it!  I'm riding without training wheels!!!" He was beaming with pride!  So, we biked pretty much the whole weekend after that!
Oak Grove Park is the place where we found our first painted rock. #CWPDrocks  We learned that we could either take it or leave it, so we left it there but hid it again.  Then we went home and painted some for our woods the next day!

This was at Possum Creek park in the Five River Metroparks system.  Here we discovered lush trails and neat stepping stones across a creek to keep things interesting while we hiked.  Grandma went along with us here too!

The petting barns at Possum Creek were a hit!  The kids were most impressed with the giant turkey!
